morning … another un-usual weekend, particularly yesterday.

Yesterday, i do not hv tuition classes as usual. But, we woke up early to service the Kancil(ini tukar, itu tukar! Haha). I brought my note-book to key-in some data. Then, off to library … went to Penampang’s rather than the usual KK State library. Oh yes, two weeks ago, i registered Er as a member(for above 2yrs old only). He was 2 yrs and 2 months! And might be the youngest member there. I was joking with the lady — apa dapat being the youngest, when we congrats me for regirstering the latest and youngest member. Haha. She just smiled … and said, ambil-la semua buku-buku tu … haha

Anyway, I was there in the library to read Personal Money. Yup, i do always read magazine from library(free reading!!) and nowadays INVESTMENT related news attract me. Hehe.

We went off to Taiwan Restaurant … yum-yum .. i was really hungry or was it because i missed the food there. Hmm … then, idea came to me … perhaps i could suggest to have one of the workshops there!! Nice place, nice food … got white-board. LOL. Telematch on the beach too! Then, Mag asked … will that for the staff? Of coz not … those grown-up and so-called educated teachers DO NOT hv the brain to enjoy life! They will start to complain that it is TOO FAR, TOO HOT, TOO TIRING … blah blah … you know how irritating those DUCKS are. Haha.

Anyway .. we went back to melinsung and i done some cleaning … the last time we went there were 3 weeks ago.

Swimming time … yeah .. we went for the pool this time … ER want to swim ar? Yau … haha.

JPA scholarships

Many of the students applying for this JPA scholarship after they obtained their so-called good SPM results! Hmm … are the scholarship for those extremely good results students(10As and above) or for those fairly good results but POOR students?? Hey, JPA .. get your acts right. You are being UNFAIR, UNJUST and INCONSISTENT. Those stupids parents(and many ignorant students) do not know what is the criterion for applications etc etc … can u get the INFO CONSISTENTLY out to the public so that they are slightly educated about it? I know it is more convinient for JPA to keep it a secret(in order to get under-table or asking people to lick their ass?) … after all, since when MALAYSIA is transparent? Oopss … perhaps the OPPOSITIONS SHOULD be more transparent in many senses?

Look … there are many POOR students depreived of basic educational needs. And my RICH students, some driving cars(with 2 or 3 handphones! LOL) applying for JPA scholar-wtf? I m saddened being a Malaysian — they are so SELF CENTERED, they think they DESERVED or have every rights for the scholarship. To shit with those poor ($$ sense … many have better MORAL than the $$-rich students). Arrghh … dont wish to get myself work-up again. So sad living with stupid, $$-craze society. We are losing our values … :(

Earth Day - An Inconvenient Truth

CPS 9-pin tap tournament

Anyway … after my swim with ER, we rushed home as i got a tuition class. Cutting short the class as i wish to got o CPS to see if i hv a chance to play in the 9-pin tap competition. I m in ‘yellow’ category and being the first reserve, i might hv slim hope to play! Hehe. BTW, i went squadding —975 of 4 games — on Sat(with Trish Khoo .. she played badly and couldnt qualify). I was rushing … reached there 6.45 when they started to called for reserves. I hv not taken my dinner … i know i will face some problem later. As always they will give the priority to the "Green" category … but most of the 18 reserves did not turn up including KET and Maurice(used to coach them but then … they are NOT serious in bowling, i dropped my case). Daniel Tan was there … waiting but they never call his name as he is placed 12 places below me in the next reserve list. Yup … i was … errr … lucky to be able to play? LOL

Ok … i told myself that i m going to play my own game, by myself and not to be distracted by any beruks there. Some will try to ‘psycho’ you so that they could win! Some sore losers are there too … 48 to play 12games — RM150 each(each squad costed them rm28 and many squad many times to be able to play in last night final!! Few hundreds dollars and believe me, most of them will NOT win anything!! They dont even know WHY they lost! LOL — William Gan, another INTI-gang was there to play).

I was given the lane together with Jacky Ting(wow … he is back playing? I didnt play there for months … many new faces too), Chong Chung and Azreen(a Sukma trainee). Arrghhh … i dont care .. i m going alone tonight.

After 10games … i was averaging 235 and positioned 3(of 48!). Game 11 … my sliding leg failing me. Off balance a few times, i only manage a low game of 188. Then, last game 12 … i need to play above 250 to get back to no3 but Jacky Ting played 300, Rahim played 298 on the lane beside and Chong Chung played 297. What a pressure!! I only managed 227, ending with position 7, averaging 230!! Wow .. not bad for a person who didnt play in CPS for months now! Haha.

CPS cant even give us a decent envelope with type-written words! Sutera done it very well.

For category, i was no 2 … hehe … won rm500 from the game. Simple yet pleasuring(with pressure) game, indeed. Err … William got no 32(of 48). Dont worry .. many of those lost few hundreds(yet again) in many tournament will NOT ASK WHY they keep losing to similar players, even CPTEH who is playing a straight ball with 10 pounds! LOL. I always hv the last laugh.

Results

1. Jacky Ting(red) avg 249

2. Taslim Usman(blue) avg 230

3. Rahim Maidin(red) avg 240

4. Ahmad Bid(yellow) avg 235

5. Sallehuddin(red) avg 237

6. Chong Chung(blue) avg 227

7. CPTEH(yellow) 242, 222, 230, 230, 235, 204, 255, 225, 266, 243, 186 and 227 with average 230. hehe

Notable players below me - Paul Thien(19), Juandi Jali(21), Sulaiman23), Guslin(24), Rosdih(31), Ozzer(39) and the cocky Radzi(48) who walk-over after 2 low-games. Yup, he is one of the lowest mentality bowler there tho he is skillful. Never win anything due to his low characters!

Sweet Sensation - Sincerely Yours <—One of the 3 girls-group 20 years ago! WOW!! I liked this song so much! Haha

Dear I write you this letter
To show you how much your love means to me
I wish we could be together
I need you in my life oh can’t you see
You promised we would be together
But you still haven’t answered my letter
Oh, oh, I’m sincerely yours
The one my heart beats for, the one I adore
Oh, oh, I’m sincerely yours
The love that you gave I’ve never felt before
Dear as I write you this letter
The pain in my heart boy has run so deep
I fear we won’t be together
Without you my life feels so incomplete
You said our love will last forever
But you still haven’t answered my letters
Oh, oh, I’m sincerely yours
The love that you gave I’ve never felt before
Oh, oh, I’m sincerely yours
The one my heart beats for, the one I adore
My precious love I just can’t believe
The letters I send you don’t receive
You don’t know how hard I try
Throw my pride aside and I can’t deny
Cause every night I write without fail
And your — missed my mail
But if ever this letter should reach your door
You’ll find it signed sincerely yours
Now I know we’ll be together, together baby
Cause you just answered my letter

Sweet Sensation - If Wishes Came True

http://www.lyricsdownload.com/sweet-sensation-if-wishes-came-true-lyrics.html

All alone silence fills my room
But in a memory
I hear you calling me
Close my eyes and I’m there with you
Like it was like yesterday
But then it fades away

FIRST CHORUS:
Take me back turn back the hands of time
When you kissed me in the warm September rain (warm September rain)
Back before my heart was filled with pain
If only we could be in love that way again

SECOND CHORUS:
If Wishes Came True
And of all the dreams of I never wondering I be holding you
If Wishes Came True
And I would that someone always special in your heart
We will still be lovers
not apart
If Wishes Came True

Now you’re gone and I am on my own
Feeling lost inside
Since you said goodbye
In my dreams I can still feel your touch
Lying next to me
Feeling ecstasy

REPEAT CHORUS 1:

REPEAT CHORUS 2:

I love you madly

Anyway, i m in the school 6.45am, thinking there is a SC meeting. Hmm … even Leong is not informed that the meeting cancelled. I think it is because the president is not in school for a week(went for JPA interview … etc etc … meaning to say, these kids might stop IS!! Then, WHY are they running for ANY posts in the school — remember the SWEARING IN?? blah blah … arrrghhh … it was said that their PARENTS(who else could be that irresponsible and stupid??) wanted them that way). Never mind … let them go. 3 of them in the SC, in fact. Another one is my vice-president of my Rotaract club. Will my president stay? Hmm … can we drop the case, please? Thanks.

i m supposed to hv a class with yr1 till 11.20am BUT i walked out the class. A batch of boys was talking like the class is theirs! So, i handed the class to them!! haha. Many are holding that stupid MORAL EDUCATION book(lack of moral, no education!) again … perhaps, there is a test. Hmm … the whole stupid society is getting into me, i guess. Next time around, I will PIN POINT to the boys/girls that make noise and make sure they are OUT of the class! I will do that, done that … and doing just that.

Anyway, i could hv extra 20 minutes to listen to S.H.E …. lol.

Time to grab something to eat.

Sutera League

I played last night with Fred and Norazah(malay-lady … fred’s wife! And, she is 4th best female player in Sabah). The team won 3-1 against Radzi team(Norazian, 2nd best female player playing for them). I played well … 222, 188 and 169(tarik), averaging 190 easily again. LOL. BTW, we lost the first game by ONE SINGLE PIN with me playing high game of 222. Hmm … it is all team work here. Fred strike-home for the team to win by TWO PINS in game two! That was close! That is bowlling … you may lose by a pin, you still lose, k?

I will be squading for the SUNDAY 9-pin tap competition(this Sunday). See if i could qualify la … otherwise, i will just watch the game.

Transmile surges in early trade, despite Bursa query

KUALA LUMPUR: Loss-making Transmile Group Bhd’s share price surged to a two-month high of RM2.52 in early trade on Thursday, extending its gains from yesterday that prompted a query from Bursa Malaysia Securities.

It opened flat at RM2.11. Within the first hour of trade, there were 5.19 million shares done at prices ranging from RM2.01 to RM2.52.

At 10am, it was the top gainer, trading at RM2.40, up 29 sen or 13.7%.

Yesterday, it closed 45 sen higher to RM2.11 in very active trade, prompting a query from Bursa Securities.

However, the company replied that it was not aware of any reason for the increase in the share price. It posted a net loss of RM279.64mil in the financial year ended Dec 31, 2007 from a net loss of RM63.77mil in FY06. For Q4 2007, it posted a net loss of RM179.43mil compared with a net loss of RM24.89mil in the previous corresponding quarter.

A news report recently said the express air cargo forwarder was starting off on a clean slate after making huge provisions in the last financial year.

Last November, two former Transmile directors were charged in court for knowingly authorising the furnishing of misleading financial information to the stock exchange after they could not fork out RM500,000 each to settle compounds.

Chin Keem Feung, 42, and Shukri Sheikh Abdul Tawab, 43 were charged for allowing a misleading statement in respect to Transmile’s unaudited quarterly results for the financial year ended Dec 31, 2006, to be released to Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd. The misleading statement was in relation to Transmile’s reported revenue of RM989.2mil.

5am

Morning … I woke up 4am and tired with my data(while TV is watching me — England trailing 1-0). Peter Crouch, Michael Owen and David James playing … they are not even in Rafa’s best 11. Many france players are playing in the EPL too. Commersializing the game so much in England that some greedy fella suggested to play EPL games OUT of ENGLAND!! Haha. Luckily the FIFA president got some brain. Phew! He opposed to the move but somehow … one day, EPL will be played at Bukit Jalil. The argument is that so that the fans in all over the world(they mean ASIA and rich countries) could have the chance to watch their favourite players playing LIVE!! If they are such a fanatic about the game, and RICH enough, they can always fly to England to watch the games, right? Oh please … it costs you about rm5-6k only. You don’t like to travel to KLIA etc etc …? Then, you may always buy the private jet! Don’t tell me that you LOVE environment and do not like to burn so much of petrol just for your personal pleasure, k? You pure hypocrite! Haha.

International Office

Anyway, yesterday’s visit by the director Azizah was boring and more of … I m doing my job la. You buy me the daging-rusa(deer meat) as I indirectly requested, k? So silly that the CEO needs to bring it up the other day during our meeting that this “BIG” person were asking where can get halal daging rusa in Sabah. She is on official trip here to check on our international students and their welfare, ending up asking few(but lengthy) questions not so related to our international students!! I don’t really get it … gov paid these rubbish officers millions to … err … (David Beckham is coming off — 100 caps. The world worshipping him and Victoria! Haha.) … do some official jobs? Haha … nice hotels and meals … and more to EAT(under table and you all need to smell my butts — get me the dagaing-rusa or else my hand might not be able to sign these approval documents!). With the approval, the school can start recruiting students from overseas, particularly from neighbouring countries. It is important to the development of the school, so to speak. Mr Teh, you are teaching? If we are going to give you all the licence, he should not be teaching. Mr Lee then answered that I m needed to teach Maths and the management will get full-time officers. She added,at least two officers needed! Haha. The CEO face changed. She must be wondering if she buys her more daging-rusa(plus perhaps camel-meat too), she might allow mr TEH to continue to be the International officer. Afterall, I m only in charge of the unit for the past 3 weeks and done nothing much to our 8 international students, just yet. Why are we employing the extra 2 officers for? Hmm … that is the problems with HUMAN, particularly things relating to gov — they are NOT consistent(as it depends on how much of veals you give, or they might want mutton too). They are irrational and at times, plain STUPID. The money spent(millions drain down to few pockets) does not reach the actual objective. Letsssss party … haha.

Well, my job as the international officer ended yesterday. We were preparing for their visit. Then, we have to wait(for how long?? DEPENDS ON HOW MUCH DAGING YOU BOUGHT ME, CLEAR??) for the licence … I hv taken two weeks to prepare for the room … it is nice now but they did not even VISIT the international-office I set up. Hai ya … talking about giving face. Haha. It is 5.45am now … need to get ready. I think Capello’ team will lose this game — his first international game. Tho it is a friendly, England loses anyway. They are not even in EURO this year. Phew! I can sleep soundly … not needing to wake up in wee hours to watch them losing. LOL.

Anelka coming off — replaced by Cisse. Both are ex-liverpool players! Haha. 1-0, the final score. Lost by a penalty kick — considered as not so lucky la. Hmm …

7.45 am

Morning … back in school to read my own blog. Haha. Hey, Kia Kee, your blog got spider-web there liao la … haha. Thoght i could motivate you to write more? haha. j/k … oh yes, IT IS TIME to go in KLSE, i think. All the best.

KLCI down 5.28 points before i go for lunch. Maybank dropped 60cents(please READ biz-news) as no one hv much confidence with INDON venture. Perhaps ASTRO painted a bad impression. Hmm …

Look into Transmile(and POS owning 17% of their shares) … surging up like no one business! Haha. That is MALAYSIAN’s investing mentality. They rush, then they run. OUCH … rush in again, and OUCH … stop buring my butts. I will try to get involve in your games, k? Do they have finger-jogathon? I m good in that as i play WarCraft. LOL

morning … yesterday there is a band workshop in our school. I missed the time when i was jamming with my gang. Music … not songs. It was hilarious and i like the ways the guys "cool"ly demostrate to the students. Yes, 65% of them play PIANO. Yes, their BORING parents THINK it is appropriate to take up musical instrument, and if u r FEMALE … PIANO is the best! LOL. Errrr … dont ask me, ask the un-educated and stupid society, k? Malaysians … haha … they are funny. I can laugh each time i think of so many stupid parents around me. LOL. Ok OK … let me sip my nescafe … arrrgghhh …

I was talking to my indian student that i do play TABLA … a classical indian instrument. I love drums! LOL. My best friend is an Indian, and i learned Tabla when i was with Visha(1996-1998). She plays classical violin. Nice .. missed those moments!. These instruments belongs to SAI BABA center in KK. They hv Bhajan every Thu nights.

where can i get one in Sabah? hmm … nope, u cant. Will get one in my next trip to KL. Hehe. Or anyone going to India, pls buy me one. I will pay la.

10.30am

I know i m slowly involving in my activities — as long as it is still school-based activities, i can handle with ease. I do know it is difficult to move people here to WORK(they are lazy, lifeless humanoid — some are worse than others, good example one BIG FAT mouth TALK-TALK and do/know NOTHING in REAL! Haha).

Anyway, i m NOT even 60% of what i was doing when i was in KL!! My busiest years were 1994-1999, where everything under the sun, i want to get involve. Too involved, actually. NGOs, DAP and plenty of readings/writings. You do see me in papers(interviews, articles etc etc … oh, btw … my family does not know most of my involvements! Hmmm … to them, till today — i m a lazy, useless, stupid(dont know how to save/earn money, irresponsible(dont care about mom/dad) … contradicting what i m doing! Haha) … you see me on TV(a few times) and putting myself in hot-soup! Haha. Hmm … interesting to note that the best CAMERA is in my HEAD. It stays inside, significantly change the ways you see things.

Touch my body
Put me on the floor
Wrestle me around

Touch my body
Throw me on the bed
I just wanna make you feel like you never did
Touch my body
Let me wrap my thighs
All around your waist
Just a little taste
Touch my body
Know you like my curves
C’mon and give me what I deserve
And touch my body

You can put me on you like a brand new white tee
I’ll hug your body tighter than my favorite jeans
I want you to caress me like a tropical breeze
And float away with you in a Caribbean sea

If it’s a camera up in here
Then it’s gonna leave with me when I do

Characters

Since education begins at home, many do not hv the privilege to be grown-up in a GOOD CHARACTERS-BUILDING settings. The normal family are too negative — in fear and not much of knowledge of GOOD upbringing of kids! Who am i to speak about this issue since i m a newbies when it comes to parenting?! Hmm … i was reading a book the other day(4am … ), when Mag woke up about 6am and saw me dedicatedly reading "TALKING TO KIDS". Seriously, I bought that book in 1997! It is still kinda new … and NOW is appropriate to acquire some knowledge on HOW to speak to my kids. Normal un-educated parents(some lawyers, teachers, businessmen the worst, engineers … u named it, they DO NOT have knowledge — stupid society! Haha) will NOT read and learn to teach their own kids, especially in this so-called new generation? You see those parents, u can obviously point out how wrong to use the MONKEY-SEE, MONKEY-DO approaches. Simply because their parents, neighbours aunties etc etc brought up their STUPID kids that way, they "think’(with their ass) they should follow suit! LOL

Candle In The Wind <— i dont like Elton J’s songs much but this one is meaningful

Goodbye Norma Jean
Though I never knew you at all
You had the grace to hold yourself
While those around you crawled
They crawled out of the woodwork
And they whispered into your brain
They set you on the treadmill
And they made you change your name

And it seems to me you lived your life
Like a candle in the wind
Never knowing who to cling to
When the rain set in
And I would have liked to have known you
But I was just a kid
Your candle burned out long before
Your legend ever did

Loneliness was tough
The toughest role you ever played
Hollywood created a superstar
And pain was the price you paid
Even when you died
Oh the press still hounded you
All the papers had to say
Was that Marilyn was found in the nude

Goodbye Norma Jean
From the young man in the 22nd row
Who sees you as something as more than sexual
More than just our Marilyn Monroe

"Candle in the Wind" is a song with music by Elton John and lyrics by Bernie Taupin. It was originally written and released in 1973, written in honour of Marilyn Monroe, who had died 11 years earlier.

In 1997, John performed a remake of the song as a tribute to Diana, Princess of Wales. This version of the song was released as a single, and reached number one in many countries, proving a much greater success than the original.

Regina Ho : Is the DEGREE needed to be successful?

I hv wanted to write an article about this issue and questions that not many will think about. Is the DEGREE REALLY needed to be successful? Firstly, it depends on HOW you define — success. In the materialistic world, success is always associated with MONEY and POWER. The yardsticks are clear … if u r a MINISTER with POWER to command(and earn as much during your tenure — EAT as much, man. Hold on there … plenty to EAT in corrupted Malaysia, if u know how) … with POWER and MONEY in hands, you will be SEEN as successful. Is that your term as successful? How about human values? How about mental and emotional developments? Or perhaps, GOD? Spiritually faked? Hmm … dont get defensive, i m pointing out your stupidity. That is OK, right?

So, degree will be seen as STATUS — i m XXX degree holder. WHAT? U only got Science Degree from local Uni?! Over again, if u go to church or any gatherings, parents will folk to "discuss" about their educated children! My son just graduated from OZ last month. Wah-liao, aunt XXX … you must be breathing easy now la. WOW. OZ uni … must be extreme good students, they thought.

In real fact, previously in 1980s, if u dont get good STPM results(as u r non-bumi), you may forget about local Uni. Malaya was top50 uni in the world, they wont take u in. You are …eerrr … not good enough, adademically. If your parents is $$-rich to send you to AUZ, then you are the "lucky" one.(in my mind, you are the unfortunate and spoilt brat) Once you grad, you come back, your mom will proudly present you in the gatherings(that is what gathering is for, k? B/day parties, anniversaries etc etc … a platform to COMPARE whose sons/daughters score/done what! LOL). BUT, the real fact is THIS KID is NOT GOOD enough to study STPM(which will make him/her cries). STPM too tough, dont worry … mommy send you to AUZ. Hmm … sound so familiar …

IS your stupid degree make you a HUMAN? Are you one? Are you happier with your degree? Pursuing to Master? Haha. The degree is just a platform to look for a job! If it is merely that, you must be kinda retard too, IMHO(in my humble opinion). WHY? Hmm … whatever you studies/learned in UNI, most probably will NEVER be used in your job! You love MATHS? Haha … wait till you go out into real harsh world, people will dis-regard your LOVE for MATHS(or whatever) … dont be stupid, love the MONEY and POWER. Who cares if you used to love MATHS? LOL.

Your degree is important to be … err … successful? Haha. Says who? Your un-educated parents or church members? Hmm … perhaps, a little mind-opener to some FACTS and TRUTH might scare you off? FEARS? Dont worry, … just wear the NO FEAR cap, you will believe you are NOT in fear! Haha.

Taking a break. Phew! A Love Story <— rabbits laying eggs? Haha. Cant show the ACTS in youtube, lay eggs la. Haha

To Siva : Haha … hey, i made you popular today in the class(130 of them!). Hmm … i shared with them a little story that we do grow-up together and we are successful in our own way. Yup, u r in Shang-international, going places(when are you buying me the ticket to Sydney? Hmm …) and i m still the humble person driving Kancil. Haha. Yup, more importantly, we done our responsibilities and happy doing what we are doing … since young together! friendship of 30+ yrs, man. Kok Kiong too … wonder how he is now. MU beat Liverpool last night. He must be laughing at us. Hmm … send my regards to Shantini and your two gals.

Is our year-end trip to Queensland is on? Mag is expecting the second one. Unless i could get my mom(or in-law) to take care of my new-born, it will be difficult. We shall see, ya. take care …

Superman <— Five For Fighting(FFF)

I can’t stand to fly
I’m not that naive
I’m just out to find
The better part of me

I’m more than a bird
I’m more than a plane
I’m more than some pretty face beside a train
And it’s not easy to be me

I wish that I could cry
Fall upon my knees
Find a way to lie
‘Bout a home I’ll never see

It may sound absurd
But don’t be naive
Even heroes have the right to bleed
I may be disturbed
But won’t you concede
Even heroes have the right to dream
And it’s not easy to be me

Up, up and away, away from me
Well it’s alright
You can all sleep sound tonight
I’m not crazy or anything

I can’t stand to fly
I’m not that naive
Men weren’t meant to ride
With clouds between their knees

I’m only a man in a silly red sheet
Digging for kryptonite on this one way street
I’m only a man in a funny red sheet
Looking for special things inside of me, inside of me
Inside of me, yeah inside of me, inside of me

I’m only a man in a funny red sheet
I’m only a man looking for a dream
I’m only a man in a funny red sheet
And it’s not easy…
It’s not easy to be me

Nice song about the Man of Steel. I watched Superman I when i was teenager! Yup, such a classic now. LOL. Yup … i put towel and underwear outside(sorry, i didnt hv red one at that moment) … trying to jump and fly! LOL. Monkey sees, monkey will do … haha
Today is a public holiday in Sabah but not for my west-counterparts! More Christians in Sabah(about 60+%) than in any state in Malaysia. BUT, sad to say … only 20%(my 80-20 theory always applicable) of the Christians practice Christianity. Just for your info, most do not even read (lest understand) the Bible … say prayers before they eat/sleep. Most of the time, they forgot the existance of Jesus. But, today … they are sort of FORCE to remember that Jesus died for them! Amen.
Too bad, i can easily expose their hypocrisy … churches? Been in and out of many — at times, i wonder if the take it as a social-gathering or to show their faces in the churches, for the sake of NOT being said they are not devoted? Hmm … HOW MANY Christians do you know that practices the TEN COMMENDMENTS? Praise the Lord, if most of your surrounding Christians do that. Otherwise, they HIDE it well from you blurry views … oooppsss … i shouldnt wake them up? Lets God do the judgement.
I can even easily point out that our Christian Fellowship Club in our school, the advisor many of times forgotten the existance of HIM and does not hv deep understanding of the wordings in Bible. Please read Matthew 6 n 7… one of my many favourite from bible. It related to human values. :-)

Matthew 6 (New International Version)

New International Version (NIV)

Matthew 6

Giving to the Needy
1"Be careful not to do your ‘acts of righteousness’ before men, to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.

2"So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. 3But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

Prayer
5"And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. 6But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. 7And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. 8Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

9"This, then, is how you should pray:
   " ‘Our Father in heaven,
   hallowed be your name,
10your kingdom come,
   your will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
11Give us today our daily bread.
12Forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.[a]14For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

Fasting
16"When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show men they are fasting. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. 17But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, 18so that it will not be obvious to men that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
Treasures in Heaven
19"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

22"The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are good, your whole body will be full of light. 23But if your eyes are bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!

24"No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money.

Do Not Worry
25"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? 26Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life[b]?

28"And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Matthew 7

Judging Others
1"Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

3"Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 4How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? 5You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

6"Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and then turn and tear you to pieces.

Ask, Seek, Knock
7"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.

9"Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? 11If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! 12So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.

The Narrow and Wide Gates
13"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
A Tree and Its Fruit
15"Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. 16By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. 19Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.

21"Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ 23Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

The Wise and Foolish Builders
24"Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash."

28When Jesus had finished saying these things, the crowds were amazed at his teaching, 29because he taught as one who had authority, and not as their teachers of the law.

The Reminiscence of a Market Ignorant

1993 was an important year for the Malaysian financial market. The economy was booming and the Securities Commission was due to be opened later in the year. I was fifteen, totally ignorant about share trading, and this was the year which illustrated to me the painful consequences of when greed and ignorance collide in the capital market. This was the year of “The Union Paper Debacle”.

It started innocently enough. Shares in Union Paper Holdings (U.P) had been rising steadily for the better part of a week and excitement was understandably high. Investors’ spirits, already buoyed by a bullish market were raised even higher by the rapid rise of the U.P counter. Everyone AND their uncle wanted a piece of the action…until everything came to a grinding stop.

One day, U.P which was being traded briskly in the morning was suspended the moment the afternoon session began. Prior to this, there was neither hide nor hair of any news that the counter was in trouble. The news was greeted with disbelief, and then anxiety, finally culminating in paralyzing fear. On that day, the KLSE (now known as Bursa Malaysia) had designated U.P as a cornered share and had used its regulatory powers to declare it a Designated Securities until investigations could be completed.

It is easy to understand why people were scared. This was the time when someone with a yen to invest and balls of steels could become a millionaire overnight. This was a time when investment strategies were non existent and investment decisions were made because ‘someone’s mother’s brother’s uncle’ had a hot tip. People borrowed heavily to invest, often from people no one in their right mind would ever want to owe money to. And they took all that money and sank it into U.P.

The day after U.P was suspended, people were already anxiously lining up before the Exchange opened to enquire about the status of their money. Later in the day, they were crying openly on the trading floor. The day after that, some were on their knees and begging for help from staff.

The report, as I understand, put the chronology of events as such. Due to certain factors, some even suggested politics, the directors of U.P had engaged heavily in short selling their own stocks. This had an effect of sparking a bout of intense speculation. There were suggestions that U.P was buying over certain other holdings; that U.P was itself being bought over by a foreign conglomerate. Whatever the source, the rumours had the effect of starting a feeding frenzy. As the activity intensified around the counter, so too did the price; actually reaching triple digits in the mid hundred per share range I am told. Finally, Bursa Malaysia, stepped in. By the time they were through, the price of the counter had nose-dived. Many speculators found themselves bankrupt at best, having loan sharks on their backs at worst. Stockbroking houses and remisiers, having customers who could not pay, looked at bankruptcy proceedings themselves.

Why did this happen? Firstly, there was a propensity to speculate. Understandably, 1993 was not yet the time of connectivity and high speed communication. The Internet was the realm of technogeek futurists. The only way for a speculator to get share information was to loiter about the Exchange and watch the boards light up. If something happened, it was off to the telephone post haste. Not only was there little or no research done, invariably, miscommunications happened, and what was a suggestion to buy quickly became an over riding need to buy. Never mind that at the time, most speculators were of the lesser educated type, attracted by stories of wealth that happened to certain unverified and unverifiable people. Drawn by such hearsay, such myths began luring the gullible and the dreamers like a shark to blood.

Secondly, there was a lack of investment discipline in the market players at the time. Most punters did not have an overall approach or strategy to their trades. They were of the “Buy on a rumor, sell on news” type. Bought when someone they knew said that a certain counter was good, and sold that counter when the news came that something good or bad had happened to it. Using that method, like being shot at, is almost always too late to dodge by the time you hear the gunshot.

Some speculators actually sold their future up the river. Most of them did this by selling their interests in solid, performing counters to generate capital to buy U.P shares. Some became excessively greedy. After making a profit from U.P, they returned for another foray, and because of their timing, their gains became losses. Some even borrowed heavily to invest, and as a result became bankrupt. The worst fates befell those who actually borrowed from loan sharks.

The first and primary blame, lies squarely at the feet of the Malaysian investor. Had their attitudes been better, had they been more disciplined, more educated and above all, kept in mind the fundamentals of good investing, so many people would not have been as ruined.

It’s Not Over <— Daughtry

I was blown away.
What could I say?
It all seemed to make sense.
You’ve taken away everything,
And I can’t deal with that.
I try to see the good in life,
But good things in life are hard to find.
We’ll blow it away, blow it away.
Can we make this something good?
Well, I’ll try to do it right this time around.

Let’s start over.
I’ll try to do it right this time around.
It’s not over.
‘Cause a part of me is dead and in the ground.
This love is killing me,
But you’re the only one.
It’s not over.

Taken all I could take,
And I cannot wait.
We’re wasting too much time
Being strong, holding on.
Can’t let it bring us down.
My life with you means everything,
So I won’t give up that easily.
I’ll blow it away, blow it away.
Can we make this something good?
‘Cause it’s all misunderstood.
Well, I’ll try to do it right this time around.

Let’s start over.
I’ll try to do it right this time around.
It’s not over.
‘Cause a part of me is dead and in the ground.
This love is killing me,
But you’re the only one.
It’s not over.

We can’t let this get away.
Let it out, let it out.
Don’t get caught up in yourself.
Let it out.

Let’s start over.
I’ll try to do it right this time around.
It’s not over.
‘Cause a part of me is dead and in the ground.
This love is killing me,
But you’re the only one.
It’s not over.

Let’s start over.
It’s not over, yeah…
This love is killing me,
But you’re the only one.
It’s not over.

Parenting - Hens breed chicks

I was ’scolding’ my year1 for making so much of noise this morning(while this song playing in my mind! LOL). Teaching them "Factor Theorem" could be too boring for me — so, i entertained myself with music in my head and shake these kids(unfortunate to say, many are rich-money-wise) brains! Hmm … i dont take pleasure in ’scolding’ others, but i do(like Dr House) tell TRUTH to them which they tried to HIDE! Hmm … so, i shared with them "RISK" … many adults living in FEAR as they do not like RISK.

Run…run, wailed the headless chicken. The tsunami is coming!! What the fuck is tsunami, you damn shit? "Just run …. runnnnn … no time to ask stupid questions, u idiots!" Haha … i like watching Chicken Little! LOL. There are many in my surrounding …

Parents, who are UNEDUCATED(in terms of BLOOD DONATION) will discourage their kids NEVER to donate blood. I can sing their pathetic "chicken song"(BTW, have you heard of the song before? Cute, u know ..). One of my student(identity preserved to save her from being killed by her father! LOL) said her father does not allow her to donate. In fact, her father reasoned that she needs blood herself! She does not have enough blood!" Haha … she failed to convinced her dad — but her desire to donate(Mr Teh will call me chicken if i dont donate, u know! Haha) gets over her and she … err … donated! Shhh … her uneducated dad NOT supposed to know! Talking about parenting … LOL

Blood Donation

With such a cute dracu-lah, i wont mind being sucked! LOL

these items being used by the officers-on-duty

the two ‘leaders’ in our school. The gentleman is leader in Intensive Science, and the lady is Yi Ki, my rotaract club president! Always being called by me … Yi Ki, do this, hear this … err … think about this! LOL

I lost counts how many times i donated blood. In and out of such blood-donation campaign, i m so used to the blah-blah. Words from chickens who never dare to donate, words from some show-off who donated, words from who know what donation blood is all about, words from DUCKS and from EAGLES. Haha … i shared with my students ducks vs eagle and the next day, i got a bad-mouth comment! He said if i called them ducks, my mouth need to be shut! Oh yah … mulut celepar? Luckily i cant understand Malay! LOL. BTW, i m the worst lecturer, according to him/her. Hmm … i think many might not agree-la. Apa cakap? Wonder if he/she still viewing my pages or else i can easily call him/her names again! LOL. Funny … i never mention any names!! LOL

Let me share with you Ducks vs Eagles

Do you know there’s a story in India about creating the world? According to this story, God first created oyster shell, then the eagle.

People always choose to live between a comfortable and tasteless oyster shell style life and an exciting and stimulating eagle style life.

They want the advantages of eagle style living, yet not willing to pay the corresponding price. Thus they find an animal that suit their need, the duck.

Only through the surface, duck and eagle do have many similarities. Yet, actually they are two totally different kinds of animals. If you know from which point to observe, very quickly you will recognize the duck. Both can fly - While eagle can circle high up in the air, ducks could only tightly depend on living on the water surface.

Several months ago, I went to Atlanta Hotel to stop for the night. I had the hotel room reservation confirmation certificate. When I arrived, the hotel was full, no vacancy. Reception desk service lady told me my reservation was voided, because it was house full. No vacancy. After that, she simply let me stand still in front of her.

I asked for my right.

That young lady said: "The hotel is full, that is full, and I have no way to play magic, creating a room from nothing for you, quack, quack, quack, ….." Then that lady did not pay attention to me anymore.

“Oops!" I knew in my heart, “what a duck!"

Then I asked to see her boss. She was very unhappy and said: “He also will not have different things to say." While she said that, at the same time she was disappearing behind the door. Behind the door it must be a duck’s pond. She definitely would come out followed by another duck. I requested her to bring out an "eagle."

“A what?" She wanted to know what I asked.

I explained to her: “Would you please bring someone that can solve the problem?"

She finally understood.

Later the manager came forward, he was a real eagle.

He said, “We are really full here. There must be some mistake in our work. Please accept my apology. I will quickly think of a way to solve this problem. Immediately I will call to help you find a suitable hotel. The cost of transportation will certainly be paid by us. Before we find the hotel, may I first invite you for dinner?"

Now, do you recognize an eagle?

Eagle would find resolution, duck can only quack, quack, and quack.
The content of duck’s quack, quack, quack, is nothing more than –reason – excuse, nonsense and complaint.

There will be the day that the duck will be dismissed.

If the company has problem, they must be the first batch to be terminated.
Then they will quack, “This is really not fair, I think my boss has prejudice against me."

On the contrary, eagle will get support.

A very important thing is - We should not be like ducks, delivering nothing but just quack, quack, quack.

We need to avoid that in the company, in the department, and in the team, we have ducks.
Some think we can motivate ducks, but you know what the result would be?
At the most, we would have a motivated duck.

Let’s examine the differences between duck and eagle:
Duck says “This I cannot do it." Eagle would say “How can I be able to achieve it?"
Ducks are pessimists, eagles are optimists.
Ducks narrate negativity to each other, and even for such they would call for a duck conference.

Eagles would only talk about positive things.
Ducks do not work until absolutely necessary; most even do not try it for once.

Eagles would fly extra several miles. They give more than they get.
Ducks work slowly. Their "guidelines", are: “I am here to work, not seeking refuge from disaster."
While the principle of eagles is to "finish everything as soon as possible." Ducks talk smooth but do nothing. They are best in making excuse not to do anything.

Eagles constantly study, and work diligently, all the time, every time.
Ducks are very capable in finding excuses; while eagles look for solutions.

Ducks do not dare to take the risk. Eagles also will be afraid, but they still go ahead to do it. They are courageous. Ducks work from 10am to 6pm; eagles work from 6am to 10pm.

Ducks find problems in every opportunity; eagles see opportunity in every problem.

Ducks enjoy gossiping behind people’s back; eagles only talk about positive things, otherwise, they stay silent.

Ducks take a long time to make a decision, yet the passion to achieve would only last for three minutes. Eagles do things with determination, because they have faith and confidence in themselves.

Ducks are chatter. They spend all their efforts at the problem. They talk only.
Eagles are doer. They spend time on resolutions. They walk all the way.

Ducks bear grudge; eagles forgive.

Ducks wait for feeding. If the feed is not enough, they yell.

Eagles take charge, and take only what they need.

Ducks are contended with what they own; eagles go get what they love.

Ducks would get very excited for a tiny thing, believing that is good enough. Eagles would not do this kind of laughable things.

A pond is the world for the ducks. Eagles fly high and far.
When bad things happen, ducks blame, eagles change.

Thanking my best-friend SIVA(in Sdyney now) for this article! Haha

Time for marketing

Daily, Trading, Songs, ChineseMarch 18, 2008 9:30 am

Morning … there is a change of time-table today due to the Blood Donation tmr. The dracu-lah hungry for blood … slurped! LOL

Trading

Ah Wai — Just a general advice NOT to touch glc-counters at the moment as the NEWly formed GOV(in Penang, Kedah, Perak, Selangor …) may scrap off few projects and also change some policies in gov-projects. Due to such uncertainties, many fund-managers have virtually throw away those glc-counters. Also … look into US market, election is going on too over there. MANY factors explaining why there is such a huge pludge in markets everywhere! In KLSE, glc-counters being the most affected ones. Logical, right?

When chickens running, there are still many going in NOW to collect/accumulate cheap counters. I m more conservative in this sense. I m still WAITING for the ride tide … simply put, we NEVER know how LOW is LOW for ANY COUNTERS. Even the popular Resorts/Genting counters being pushed down. PAS against gambling and such … gaming counters surely get hit! How severe? Everyones guess.

What counter will I buy? I m spoilt with choices. LOL. But i only hv 10k to shoot here. I m thinking of TENAGA or AMMB. Defensive. Or u want venturing, Gamuda, Kencana, Sapcres and such offer greater RISKs — more profit/loss. please understand too that many counters are OVERLY bought! Look into their PE values or NTA values for reference. In KLSE, these EPS and such values do not really play significant indicators for a counter to be considered cheap!! ANYTHING could happen!! Even BN could lost Perak/Selangor, affecting my JAKS counter, what else could i expect? Haha.

SPSETIA (selangor based property) suffering the fall too. Remember you were asking me about this counter during CNY? Hmm …

Plantation counters still attractive as those fund managers will place more money into those "stable" counters. Many to mention here … being in Sabah, i like TSH or HSPLANT. Kretam or Kwantas are beauty too. LOL

Otherwise, DO NOT go in at all. WAIT … for the next bull(if any).

That is my points, sincere just for you as you are special to me. Your mom is the most special person in my life, you know that, right? hehe. Good luck.

Kia Kee — yup! JAKS is cheap now … wait, k? If you are really considering JAKS. I will give it a miss as i hv too many options. Hehe. I still like lion-group(due to the CEO) and their ventures. So, i m like thinking of LIONIND or LIONCOR … even buy another 4 lots(1000 = 1 lot for me … tho they changed it to 100 = 1 lot) of LIONDIV. Hmm … NO one could tell ANYONE what to buy at the moment as we all see market differently. See if you are what type of investors la. Me?? I m in my trial-n-error period. LOL. So, dont buy what i buy! I m here to earn or burn … and learn the lesson here to TEACH, one fine day. Hmm …

More of Eric Moo —>

趕路 <— a lighter song! Nice …

I m going to load his songs in my hp this week! Haha.

KNM … heavily traded and free-fall. Will BN-gov pump in money soon to save their faces(after not winning in recent election!)? Hmm … will KNM continue in this trend? Where will its base? As KNM owns many shares of glc-linked companies, surely it will affects KNM valuation.

路彎彎 <— remembering Visha’s only chinese song she sang with me. LOL

愛那麼重 <— is love really THAT heavy? hmm …

morning … MONDAY again … weekend was quite tight but i enjoyed myself, of coz … as always! LOL

Liverpool won 2-1 against Reading, MU and Chelsea won narrowly 1-0 but the Gunners? Hmm …

Chong Wei lost to Lin Dan again last night in the final. At least he is consistent, unlike our young arrogant pairs who start to lose to unknowns! Rank #1 in the world? hmm … Nicol is consistent, look into her CHARACTERS. You cant replace that with the number of "A" you scored in exams, k?

Wen Bie and Wen Bie2<— nice oldies by Jacky. That lady is 周海媚(zhou hui mei). She used to be popular and deemed as a beauty?

Election Board 2008

A brief ‘prize presentation’ to the members of EB as an appreciation of their work, making sure the election in our school(SC) goes smoothly. They done a very good job and i was talking to Leong to give them a small token, rather than HE-HE-HA-HA dinner(with them last friday dinner at Upperstar).

Yummy … i bought them a small choc-look-alike candle! LOL. Then, i explained a little of the significance of my idea of presenting them a candle. Yup … i was given candles before and one of the organiser explained : CANDLES — burning themselves to LIGHT others. They stand alone, quietly … and despite the pain, they need to make sure that others could use their lights! FANTASTIC. I was so touched by the that ‘talk’ … and a hug, i could see myself having tears of joy!

Candles

Err … can your MONEY buy that? Oh yah … your money could buy the LARGEST CANDLE, and burn the longest to light YOUR house! LOL. Talking about the significance of LIVING … many not even alive! Hmm ..

Anyway, i dont really know if these youngsters understand that as leaders(and HUMAN), we need to sacrrifice for others benefits.

That is a …. CANDLE …

In fact, so touched by the gift, i went for a candle-making classes! OH boy, i m the only MALE there! Haha… over 3 weekends, i managed to made one candle of my OWN choice! I taken the wax from my sis, Feleene(she was using the wax for her batik-drawing-making classes …!!)! Still fresh in the memory. I was supposed to make my bro/sis candles for x’mas that year(1997) but … hmm … the wax still with me!! Haha. I decorated TWO x’mas candles … one using dried leaves and another using … err … my uban(white hair!) LOL. Dont believe … go to my Melinsung, u could see my 10yo white-hair on the candle! Haha. Funny … man. I tried many things! Haha.

Talking about gift … another good one comes to my mind is SEA-SHELLS.

Taken this LARGE one during wet-marketing this morning! The seller was joking that i pay rm5 for taking pix! Haha

Futsal

After my Sunday tuition class(2 to 5), i joined my students for Futsal! Yeah … i could bring my Er to kick-kick bola. Hehe. Yup, he enjoyed that … before that, i promised to bring him to see fish-fish. He kept saying fish-fish … so, ok … see fish-fish first, the go playground, watch the dog-show(some rich stupid idiots with their ‘kids’) … at Likas taman … zoom for futsal!

Suria Futsal center … Er taking a break with the 100plus after a tiring game! haha

I dont know that they hv a futsal center at Jesselton Point! Hmm … when was the last time i go to pulau? Haha. Will bring Er for boat ride soon.

Fantastic … perhaps, i managed to let him see the broader scopes of applications of physics in our daily lives! Then, i managed to pay my ASTRO before they cut off my subcription. Haha. Hey, not that i m not paying la … i lost my credit card and the number changed! Done! Yeah … more Astro, i cant live without it! Haha. Catchy motto to brain-wash our lowly mentality of our consumers? Hmm … dont you go to THAT direction again! LOL

Crawling <— nice oldies …

Regina : Every individual has a parents. Not a choice. But whether they will grow-up with their parents or not, that is another question. If they are, they certainly parents are to be blamed for almost every actions-reactions of their children. For eg : we are NOT born kiasu, u know. Parents … coupled with EDUCATION(lack of understanding of it, actually) and society MOULDING the child personalities into WHAT he/she is. Parenting taking a BIG TWIST in 1990s. Inversion of internet(and other hi-tech gadgets), the booming of Malaysia economics(impact of parents needing to WORK n TOO BUSY for their children can be elaborated in greater length), the dis-integrated of community(for eg : the Christianity values not being up-hold strongly n sincerely) … etc etc … Capitalism invading our society in early 90s. Dis-integration of our society began in early 80s. Political situations lost its trust in early 70s. Malaysia gains its own identity(and struggled) in early 60s. Please READ more of HISTORY. Why our students dislike SEJARAH and parents questioning the needs of the "stupid" subject? Talk to me … i can give a ONE-DAY ceramah(talk) regarding the needs and appreciation of SEJARAH(History) Malaysia.

SO, the bottom line … ADULTS to be blamed. Underlining that, our GOV’s policies in EDUCATION ministry need to take huge responsibilities. YET, not many aware of the set-backs in our whole socio-economics impacts of globalisation! I hv huge knowledge in such as i READ a lot about EDUCATION, SOCIAL SCIENCE, PSYCHOLOGICAL COMMUNITY and such. I spoken to many people, especially with those in-charge of our education ministry. I got involved in many events/conferences … and made my own judgement on HOW all these derived to the my own sentiments regarding EDUCATION!

Hope it is NOT too heavy for you. Hehe. thanks for the input, anyway.

Upperstar

EB organised the dinner … i do not enjoy crowds, i do not enjoy the noisy atmosphere … the food is nice. Oh yah, i saw live telecast of the CL draw. WOW … Liverpool playing Arsenal and possible to meet Chelsea in semi if they win! Hmm …

I was there 7.15pm, thought i was late(as i brought Mag for her month check-up) BUT … yes, i was the first to reach there!! Booked for 40 … errr … < 25 turn up?? Most late, anyway. TNB shares slide after rating downgrades

PETALING JAYA: Shares in Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) were hammered down to a 5½-year low of RM6.60 in early morning trade yesterday after six research houses downgraded the stock on uncertainties over whether its tariff structure would be reviewed, and also rising coal price. The fall was also in line with the drop in Asian bourses.

However, some buying lent support to the stock, which closed 35 sen lower at RM6.85 on active trade of 23.31 million shares. The counter traded to a high of RM7.20 and low of RM6.60.

The research houses that downgraded TNB were Deutsche Bank, Credit Suisse, Lehman Brothers, RHB Research Institute, Aseambankers and Affin Securities.

Deutsche Bank lowered its recommendation to a “hold'’ while Credit Suisse cut its outlook on the stock to under-perform, and Lehman Brothers reduced its outlook to neutral. RHB Research had a market perform call while Aseambankers has a “hold'’ call and Affin Securities’ call was “reduce”.

According to its March 10 report, Deutsche Bank said it did not expect the stock to move “until there is more clarity on how and when a new tariff structure is to be implemented.”

Even so, TNB’s closing price of RM6.85 yesterday was very much below the research house’s target price of RM8.10.

Meanwhile, CIMB Research reiterated its “outperform” call on TNB after the counter fell 15% to RM7.35 on Monday.

CIMB believes the stock had been oversold, having fallen as much as 41% from its February 2007 peak of RM12.50 on Monday on fears of gas price hikes and rising coal prices, along with uncertainty over the timing of its tariff adjustment.

“We continue to hold the view that TNB is unlikely to bear the burden of any gas price increase,” it said.

The principal re-rating catalysts for the stock were positive news flow on gas price, the introduction of a tariff adjustment formula, a higher dividend payout and stronger demand growth, CIMB Research said.

Meanwhile, an industry source told StarBiz: “Fundamentally, TNB’s revenue is expected to remain strong. The company may face operating cost pressures due to coal prices, but that will only affect 25% of its fuel requirements.

“In view of the public sentiment, it is unlikely that (the) Government will review the gas price upwards so soon. And because of this, TNB can contain its fuel cost. TNB still has RM5bil of cash reserves.”
